"Uh, yes, ma’am. I’m lookin’ for PFC Christeson?" John would know that voice anywhere, but it’s strange to hear it here, in the domestic stillness of Lebanon, Illinois. Strange, but entirely welcome. John is grinning like a lunatic as he sprints out of the kitchen and to the front door.

-- > Rare pairing anyone? I was a bit dubious when I started to read, but that doubt was very soon washed away. Oh, I fell in love with these characters. What we see on the show is carefully expanded. It's so organic that I could this see happening.
It's hard to watch them, trying to fit into a life at home. They grew up in the war and grew a little bit more afterward.

Love their interaction, and their dialog.

I hope you give this story a chance, because it very well deserves it.

-- > This is a really great case!fic and character study. The mystery was well thought out and the case engaging. I loved all the little details, how they make the characters and their world rich and real. Ron's struggle felt very true to canon, at the same time we can see him growing up.
